Can we trust the Bible?
Many people assume they can’t. They’ve been told that the Bible is an ancient collection of myths. They don’t even consider that it might be historically correct or have some value to offer them.
Most of these people have never picked up a Bible and read it for themselves. They accept the assumptions of the Bible critics and don’t bother checking them out.
See For Yourself
We are challenging you to investigate the Bible for yourself. Start with the Gospels at the beginning of the New Testament. Learn for yourself what Jesus taught and did. Take your time to let the message sink in. Try to imagine what a life built on such a message would be like. True love without strife, everlasting peace, gentleness with all man, goodness to our neighbor, temperance in life, and truth to live by. Think about what the world would be like if people followed such teachings.
The rest of the New Testament builds on the Gospels. Acts tells you the story of the people who took the message seriously and went out to tell the world about it. The rest of the books of the New Testament are a collection of letters written to help people understand and to live the Gospel message.
To really understand the Bible, you also need to read the Old Testament. It contains the historical and philosophical background leading up to the New Testament. It tells you where sin came from and why. It shows you God’s moral expectations and the seriousness of a life without Him. Compare the Old Testament prophecies of Israel and see how they are fulfilled in our modern world.
You will find, if you approach the subject honestly, that many of the criticisms you’ve read or heard don’t really hold water. Read a book like “A General Introduction to the Bible” by Geisler and Nix for scholarly answers to many of the questions you have heard about.
It IS Reliable
You may decide the Bible is reliable and its message is what you need to help you face life and eternity. Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start now and make a brand new ending.

So I’m lost, I’m Bipolar and have PTSD. I’ve never really read the Bible. Where should I start. Never really gone to church either because every one I try, I feel judged. Thanks
Take up the Matthew challenge of reading the 4 gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. They are the 4 first person accounts of Christ from the time of His birth until he ascended unto God the Father.
Getting Truth from a book of fiction would be a miracle.
