For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret. Ephesians 5:12

The back window of the vehicle had a sticker with a bold message: “HONOR DIVERSITY.” The woman driver was a customer in our shop, and she explained that she was promoting the acceptance of people like herself who call themselves gay. I tried to charitably explain to her the Bible’s clear teaching about such a lifestyle and its eternal consequences. But she rejected my viewpoint entirely and concluded by confidently declaring, “In the final day, I know that I will stand up there with the righteous.”

Nearly three thousand years ago, God made a proclamation through the prophet Isaiah that is still in effect today: “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness” (Isaiah 5:20). Sadly, we live in a society that determines the merits of a practice mainly by its political and social acceptability instead of by God’s unchanging Word. This applies not only to the “alternate lifestyles” being promoted today but also to other immoral practices, all of which the Bible condemns. “Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God” (1 Corinthians 6:9-10).

Sound Biblical teaching about moral truths is absolutely essential lest our younger generations in particular are swayed by the constant pressure of ungodly people in many political, educational, medical, and even ministerial professions. The enemy of our souls would like nothing better than for those who know the truth to be intimidated into keeping silent.

Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight. Isaiah 5:21
